Day 41: Mondonedo to Abadin

Views from the Hostal bedroom window

Along the valley which I had walked down two days previously (right)

Church of Santiago (below)

It was difficult to get a full shot of the Modonedo cathedral (above & below, left)

Still in Modonedo, the Fonte Vella (the Old Fountain) dating from 1548

The Cathedral dominates the skyline on the climb out of town

Another 'soft' morning

The Chapel at San Vincente ......

..... and graveyard

The route mostly on the road had been along the valley, following the Rio Valindares.
It had been undulating, ascending then losing height only to ascend a bit more which made for frustrating walking!

For only the third time in the pilgrimage (apart from camping of course), I had to sleep on the floor.
However these hardships were more than made up for by hot showers and the company of other pilgrims - a rare occurrance so far on this camino
