Melide: a town famed for its superb octopus cuisine; the bar Alongos II is a little to the right after the camino joins the main street

and we spent a very happy hour eating the most delicious dish of spicy octopus we ever tasted

The kilometer stones have continued all this way - this is the first one in the province of A Coruna and we have only 44 km. to go!

The first field in A Coruna: a little later there was a huge Coke dispensing machine standing in a field gate beside the Camino with a sign saying "God does exist" - very strange
